Purple Berry Red Stem. Pale yellow flowers about 14 in. Elderberry Dark purple-black Clusters of tiny round seed-like berries Thornless shrub or small tree with tiny white clustered flowers flowers resemble a tiny honeysuckle.
The leaves are a medium green color and serrated at the edges. Serviceberry leaves are arranged alternately on stems. Stems must be peeled of all the purple parts.
Somewhat poisonous in fact.
These purple berries look like grapes but contain toxic compounds in the roots leaves stem and fruit. Green or dark reddish purple. Gradually the Pokeweed berries begin drying and shrinking. Purple-red in color and 1-2 cm long.
